Decide what the larger screen will help with
Moving from a phone to a desktop is useful when the next task benefits from a different working surface, not simply because one device is available. You might want to compare several article passages, inspect a broad category structure, or write a longer comparison note. State that reason before switching. For example, a quick phone visit may identify three promising catalogs, while the desktop session will compare their navigation. This keeps the handoff focused instead of turning it into a fresh search that forgets what the first session accomplished.
Capture a compact handoff note
Record the exact pages, the question you are answering, and the next action. A practical note could say, 'Compare category labels on these three indexes; already inspected the first homepage.' Titles alone are not enough when several pages share similar names. Keep the links and the note together using a transfer method you intentionally choose. Do not assume a saved item in one tool will appear on another device unless that tool explicitly supports the workflow and you have confirmed the result in the destination environment.
Reestablish context before continuing

Finish by updating the same note with the outcome and removing temporary duplicates from your active working collection. You should be able to tell what was discovered on the phone and what was decided on the desktop without maintaining two separate research stories.
